What was it like for the LDS Pioneers who traveled west in the mid 1800's? Kassie had the opportunity to find out! She went on a Pioneer Trek with other youth from our area. For three days she helped push or pull a hand cart, cook over an open fire and sleep under the stars! They walked 14 miles the first day, (all up hill, of course!) in the hot July sun wearing authentic pioneer dress.
During the evening of day two, Dale's band played for their Pioneer Hoedown. Bryson and I went along.

Yeah...you did a new blog! I like it. Trek was awesome for Korbyn too! You guys looked so great! I need to go see Dale play again soon!
I am so glad you went to trek Kassie! I never had the opportunity when I was a child. I certainly hope my children enjoy it as much as you did!
