For the past two weeks, as time allows, I have been in the kitchen baking for Christmas. Kaden is right there by my side! He pulls a chair up to the counter so he can watch the mixer and ask for samples! Can you guess from the picture below what I made this week?
Yes, Peanut Brittle!
Kaden gets out the pots and pans and does some cooking of his own. On this day the blue pot made a nice hat!
Ahh... the mess that's left behind!
At least I have help with the clean up!

Some of my fondest memories ever with Josh will be his love of cooking with me. Yesterday he surprised us all by making eggs & pancakes for breakfast. The eggs were great, but as the smell of burning came from the kitchen, he yelled, "Mom! I NEED YOU NOW!!" He wanted so much to surprise us so I had to giggle when I saw his first pancakes. They looked better than my first pancakes & I was MUCH older when I started cooking on the stove. I told him about my own pancake disaster & then he felt better.
