Just me and Dale

On Dale's last day of vacation (Friday, August 20th) before beginning his new job, we decided to spend some time together, just the two of us. We started out at TGI Fridays for lunch. We both ordered the all-you-can-eat soup, salad and bread sticks with free appetizer. The salad was nothing special, but everything else was DELICIOUS! I really liked my tomato and basil soup. The bread sticks were good, but became REALLY good dipped in my soup! The appetizer was homemade chips with dip... yummy! After lunch we drove to down town Gettysburg and walked the streets of town stopping in the little shops and museums. I especially enjoyed the scrapbooking store, and found a few bargains there! By late afternoon we were hot and thirsty, so we stopped at McDonald's. Dale tried a strawberry banana fruit smoothie and I got a diet soda. After that it was more walking, and a yard sale before going home. What an enjoyable afternoon! Dale and I got to talk without interruptions, walk without being held back and just enjoy each other's company!

A night out

Dale and I have been having our "date nights" during the day while most of the children are in school. However, this week we left all the kids at home and went out in the evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I usually pick the restaurant. This time I insisted Dale pick. He chose Bay City. Dale ordered the Orange Roughy (a white fish) and I had the Crab and Shrimp Alfredo. We splurged and ordered dessert too! I had the double chocolate cake. I talked Dale into ordering the turtle cheese cake because I wanted to taste that too! LOL! He was going to order coconut cream pie -- UGH!! Everything was delicious! After dinner we did a little Christmas shopping. The kids made out well at home, although they were watching TV and not doing their homework! When the cats away the mice do play! The kids had fun taking pictures of us before we left for our date.

Happy Anniversary!

Dale and I were married in the Washington DC Temple seventeen years ago this past Saturday. It was a gorgeous fall day! Our wedding reception was held one week later at the church building.
Saturday, November 3rd of this year was also a beautiful fall day! We went for a hike in the afternoon and out for dinner that evening. The owner of the company Dale works for gave Dale the company credit card and told Dale our anniversary dinner was on him! We each had the seafood platter at Bentley's at the Barn in Hanover. We had a delicious meal and an enjoyable evening together!
