It has been nearly 12 years since I have worked outside the home. Dale tells me I earn money for the family by saving money. Like you Lucy, I too am a bargain shopper. I rarely pay full price for anything! Another way in which I save is by cutting the children's hair myself. About ten years ago we had a sister in our ward teach us how to give a basic hair cut. This same sister gave me further tips as I watched her cut Brady's hair. Based on what she taught me, I have been cutting my children's hair ever since. When Kaden came along I knew I'd have a challenge with all those lovely curls! His first hair cut was done by my hair dresser at no charge. She told me cutting curly hair is actually easier because it's harder to tell if it's uneven. The time came for Kaden's second hair cut. I gave it my best shot!

We do the same thing... WAY cheaper. And there's been some real doozies, I was never actually taught how to do it, I just kind of did it! :) But ching ching ching, goes the checking account! :)
Same here! Why pay someone 10-15 dollars to do the same thing yourself?! Although, I recently splurged and had the boys get a "professional" cut before school starts. I have two more boys to take in, and then I'll be back to doing it myself. I might even give Madalyn's hair a try!

He's such a cutie!!! I have to admit, I stink in the haircut department...gotta pay the bucks! The good news, girls get by with cuts every three months but the boys, ugh...every 3-4 weeks!!!
I even cut my own hair -- I'm just way too tight to pay someone else to do it!! I use to go to the salon to get my hair cut and colored, but I can color it myself for about three bucks and they charged me $25.00!!
