Almost every Thursday I go into Taneytown, MD to visit with my friend Judy. We meet at the Catholic Church where every Thursday morning they sell used clothes. Judy and I look for bargains while our two year old sons Jacob and Kaden play together.
Judy almost always gets there before me and will pick out clothes she thinks I'd like for either myself or a member of my family. By the time I get there she has a pile for me to look at!
The boys play by the fire place and under the tables. I always bring a snack for them to share. Today it was Teddy Grahams.
There is a bin of free toys the boys usually get into. If Kaden finds a stuffed kitten in the bin he'll ask "Ms. Joy" if he can bring it home. Ms. Joy often has candy for the children. (She's the lady in charge.) Today it was marshmallow bunnies leftover from Easter. (I thought of you Cathy! LOL!) Most weeks it's Tootsie rolls.

The boys' favorite thing to do while Judy and I shop is push the empty clothes baskets around the room.

Today I was looking for clothes for my mother-in-law. She has lost so much weight that her clothes hang on her. Last week I found three blouses and one pair of jeans for her. Everything fit perfectly and we were both tickled! This week, however, I found nothing. Kaden and I still had a nice visit with Nan Nan after we left the church. I was able to take some homemade goodies to her. No matter how bad my baking may taste, Nan always tells me they're the best she's ever had!
Tomorrow Dale and I are off to the Opera! Can't wait! I'm sure I'll be blogging about that next!
