Yes, I'd do it again!!

Last August for my birthday, my SIL Bonnie gave me a gift certificate for a manicure and a pedicure. I hated the thought of receiving those services only to mess them up once I got home. It's not like I have some office job where my hands don't get dirty! I just did not have an interest in the manicure or pedicure. The gift certificate was to expire in less than two weeks. What was I to do? I went into the salon and explained my predicament. They suggested I use the money for a massage instead! Great idea! I've never had one, but love when Kenzie gives me massages. This evening was my massage, and I would definitely do it again! For one hour I relaxed while receiving a client centered massage... back, shoulders, neck, head, arms, hands, legs and feet! The back and feet were my favorite! In fact, I'm thinking of asking Dale for just the foot massage for my birthday this year!! Thanks, Bonnie, for one of the best birthday presents ever!!

A Day at the Lake

Cousins and friends had a blast together today at the lake! They're ready to do it again next week!

Babysitting

A friend of mine had another baby about three weeks ago. This picture was taken the day I went to visit them in their home. This weekend my friend had to have surgery. Her husband works night and needs to sleep during the day. Today I offered to have their two babies so Mommy and Daddy could rest. I was excited and nervous! It's been more than four years since I've taken care of a newborn! I picked them up this morning at 10:00. Once I got them home to my house, my children had a blast playing with (and fighting over) the two year old! We took them to church and then home again for more fighting! LOL! I took them back to their parents this evening at 7:00. It was such a fun day with two more babies in my house!

The other day Kaden and I had the following conversation:

Kaden: "I don't like your nick name."

Me: "Oh. What's my nickname?"

Kaden: "Gwenda."

Me: "If Gwenda is my nick name, what's my real name?"

Kaden: "Mom!"
