OK Dottie, you asked for it!

I tried another new recipe last night. Even the children who claimed not to like it, ate what was on their plate without complaint. Believe me, if it truly isn't good, they let me know!

Pizza Hotdish

1 pound ground beef

1 onion, chopped

1 green pepper, chopped (I omitted this since I didn't have one)

1 can cream of mushroom soup

2 cans pizza sauce (I used 2 14 oz. jars)

1 pkg. pepperoni slices (I used approx. 4 ozs.)

1 pkg. shredded pizza cheese (4 oz)

1 box spiral noodles

Brown beef with onion and green pepper. Cook noodles. Mix noodles, beef mixture, soup and pizza sauce and put into greased casserole dish. Place pepperoni on top and cover with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

I get most of my recipes from CDKitchen.com or Cooks.com. After the family has had a taste I ask if it's a keeper. If not, the recipe goes in the trash. Pizza Hotdish was a keeper!

Events of the past two weeks

Not much happening here to blog about. I'm afraid the start of our new year has been a little boring. Nevertheless, here are some pictures from every day stuff within the Eyler household. After dinner fork play.

While finally putting away the Christmas stuff, Kaden stumbled upon a tunnel hidden in the back of the closet.

There was a time when Kaden LOVED bananas. Lately he has been turning his nose up at them. I was surprised last week when he was willing to take a couple bites of one. I was even more surprised to later find those bites in the bottom of his potty!
Like father, like son.

Dale has been cutting his own hair for the past twenty years. Last week, after listening to me tell him for the umpteenth time that he needed a hair cut, Brady decided to follow in his father's footsteps and give himself a trim.

Not enough was taken off to suit me, but at least I can see his eyes again!

Kaden has held numerous conversations with my mother, ("Nana") over the phone since we last saw her at the end of December. Here he is with an old non-working cell phone telling Nana the latest news!

That's the update, as boring as it may be. I wonder what the next two weeks will hold!

New Year's Day

I guess we partied a little too hard New Year's Eve! The next day several of us were caught napping. I only wish I would have been one of them!





I should have taken advantage of Brady's deep sleep and took a pair of scissors to his hair!

Kassie had asked if her friend Courtney could come over on New Year's Eve. Dale and I thought it would be nice to have her whole family over. Then when I knew Angie was in town with no plans, other than to sleep through New Year's Eve, we asked she and her children to join us as well. Here are some pictures from our evening together.
